History and Identity
Founded in Turin in 1961, FAIOT specialises in the design and production of high-performance technical grinding wheels.
Over more than sixty years of activity, the company has built its reputation on manufacturing quality, technical expertise and close collaboration with customers, developing abrasive solutions designed to meet specific application requirements.
Innovation and Industry 4.0
In recent years, FAIOT has implemented one of the most important modernisation programmes in the Italian abrasive industry.
Thanks also to European funding programmes dedicated to industrial innovation, the company has invested in automation, process interconnection, digital traceability, quality control and new production technologies, progressively transforming its manufacturing facility according to the principles of Industry 4.0.
The 2027 Development Project
In June 2026, FAIOT launched a new €2.4 million development plan that will increase the covered area of the production facility from 2,500 to 4,000 m², within a total site area of 13,000 m².
The project, scheduled for completion in 2027, will enable the introduction of new manufacturing processes, the expansion of existing production lines and a further increase in overall production capacity.
Specialisation and Leadership
FAIOT develops and manufactures vitrified and resin bonded grinding wheels using both conventional and special abrasives. Thanks to its proprietary formulations and continuous collaboration between the production department and end customers, the company creates customised solutions for a wide range of industrial sectors.
The expertise gained over the years has enabled FAIOT to establish a leading position in the production of mounted points, grinding wheels for industrial slicers, abrasive blocks and high-porosity disc wheels.
